KINJANI PROJECTS

Turning global breakthroughs into local impact.

Through Kinjani Projects, we bring cutting-edge innovations from across the world into African contexts and communities where they can take root, scale, and transform lives.

From water systems to bio-based materials, each project is chosen for its potential to regenerate not extract, restore not replicate.

PORTFOLIO

iCINK

Using waste to decarbonise the construction industry.

APPROACHES WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT

OCEAN ALKALINITY ENHANCEMENT

Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement (OAE) is a carbon dioxide removal strategy that involves adding alkaline substances to seawater to increase its capacity to absorb CO₂. OAE is best co-located with infrastructure such as desalination, ports, and wastewater treatment.

ENHANCED ROCK WEATHERING

Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) is a carbon dioxide removal strategy that spreads crushed silicate rocks on soils, where they react with CO₂ and water to form stable carbonates. ERW is best co-located with agriculture, mining byproducts, and soil amendment supply chains.

BIO-BASED SEQUESTRATION

Bio-based Carbon Removal and Sequestration (BiCRS) captures CO₂ through biomass and photosynthesis, then locks it away as biochar, durable wood products, or in geologic storage. BiCRS is best co-located with agriculture, forestry, organics-to-waste systems.
